Register for "The Causes of the Civil War"

This seminar will consist of three 90-minute sessions that discuss the Causes of the Civil War. Particular attention will be paid to the growth and influence of the slave power, abolitionism, sectionalism and the meaning of the war. While this seminar will be of interest to all United States History teachers, the discussion will especially appeal to 8th Grade Social Studies teachers interested in helping their students with the following state standard: SS8H5: Analyze the impact of the Civil War on Georgia.
